WorryFree® Lemon Glow® Barberry

Non-invasive barberry

Botanical Name: Berberis thunbergii WorryFree® Lemon Glow® 'UCONNBTB048' PP30,127

Height: 1.5-2.5'

Spread: 2-4'

Description

Lemon Glow® is part of a series of non-invasive Japanese barberries bred and tested by the University of Connecticut.  Like the other barberry in the WorryFree® collection, Lemon Glow® will not produce nuisance seedlings or spread to unwanted areas.  Lemon Glow® has stunning yellow foliage and is excellent as an accent or foundation plant in addition to low hedge and border uses.

PP30127.

Care:

As with all barberries, Lemon Glow® is extremely adaptable but best in any well-drained soil location.  Water regularly after planting and fertilize in spring before new growth begins.

Sun/Shade Requirements:

Lemon Glow® works in both sunny and part-shade locations.

Habit:

Forms a perfect mound with little pruning.  A light trim in late spring will enhance shape.  Since seeds are not-viable, there is no need to trim after flowering to deter seedlings.  Truly WorryFree®!
